Some wedding days don't need a grand venue or a packed timeline to feel unforgettable.

Nil and Cal's intimate Toronto City Hall wedding on December 28, 2024, was a perfect example of how meaningful a simple celebration can be when it's focused on the people who matter most.

We started the day at Osgoode Hall, one of my favorite hidden gems in downtown Toronto. Located just a short five-minute walk from Toronto City Hall, it offers beautiful historic architecture and a quiet atmosphere that feels worlds away from the busy city streets.

The couple chose to do a first look at Osgoode Hall, and it was such a special way to begin their wedding day. Seeing each other for the first time before the ceremony gave them a chance to slow down, take everything in, and enjoy a few quiet moments together before the excitement of the day unfolded.

After their first look, we spent some time exploring the grounds and creating portraits that felt natural, relaxed, and true to who they are. Even in late December, downtown Toronto offered a beautiful backdrop for their wedding photos, with the historic buildings around Osgoode Hall adding so much character and timelessness to every frame.

From there, we made our way to Toronto City Hall for their ceremony.

One of the things I love most about City Hall weddings is how emotional they can be. Without the distractions of a large wedding day, the focus stays on the couple, their vows, and the commitment they're making to one another. Nil and Cal's ceremony was heartfelt, intimate, and filled with genuine emotion.

After officially becoming husband and wife, we captured family photographs before heading back into the city for one of my favorite parts of the day—couple portraits around downtown Toronto.
